ShellTerra lets you post shells, timemarks, activities, and messages that other users can see ("User Content"). You're responsible for what you post, and you retain ownership of it. By posting, you grant TotemPole Inc permission to display it within the app as intended by the app's features.
ShellTerra has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. This includes, without limitation: harassment, hate speech, threats, nudity or sexual content, illegal activity, spam, and impersonation. Every user can flag/report User Content they believe violates this policy, and can block other users, which immediately hides that user's content from their feed. Reports are reviewed and, where warranted, we remove the offending content. Multiple reports may lead to suspension. Habitual line-steppers (those who obtain multiple reports on multiple posts and multiple suspensions) may be permanently banned.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your login credentials and personal data. Content you've posted, such as shells, timemarks, or activities, may remain visible under your prior username after deletion. This is consistent with how many social apps handle account removal.
Some features (map, nearby shells/timemarks/activities) use your device location. You can decline location access; the rest of the app remains usable.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including repeat or severe objectionable-content violations.
We may update these terms; continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
